A group of horse owners from throughout central and north-central Wisconsin is forming an affiliation with the Backcountry Horsemen of America. A ranger with the U.S. Forest Service met with us in January and the USFS has offered to build an equestrian trail in a portion of the Chequamegon National Forest located in southern Taylor County. To expedite the process, we need to build on our membership to demonstrate our enthusiasm to the USFS so they will proceed with the development of horse trails we can enjoy for years to come. Our group is strengthening with each meeting! Trail riders of all breeds of horses are welcome, regardless of age or level of riding experience. This is a family affair!

Membership is cheap and painless! Please join us on Sunday at 6 pm at the Northwoods Archers Building (12 miles west of Medford via hwy 64 - South on Pirus Rd. 1/4 mile). We look forward to seeing you!
